Terms of service

What you can expect from Rufy, and what Rufy expects from you.

Last updated September 18, 2026

The short version

Rufy reads the financial mail you send it and keeps a ledger from it. It is a tool for seeing your money clearly — not an accountant, not an adviser, and not a bank. You can leave whenever you like and take your data with you.

Who you are agreeing with

These terms are between you and Salkantai SAS ("Rufy", "we"), of Constituyente 1967, apto. 702, Montevideo, Uruguay. Using the service means accepting them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may bind it.

What the service is

You forward financial email to Rufy, or connect a mailbox. Rufy reads what arrives, categorises it, builds a ledger, and sends you summaries and alerts. You can photograph receipts and ask it questions about your own money.

Rufy does not move money, hold money, or connect to your bank. It reads the mail your bank already sends you. Nothing here gives anyone the ability to make a payment on your behalf.

It is not financial advice

Rufy tells you what it read and what it noticed. That is information, not advice. It is not a financial adviser, an accountant, a tax preparer or a broker, and nothing it says should be treated as a recommendation regulated as such.

Decisions about your money remain yours. Please involve a qualified professional for anything that warrants one.

Your account

Give us an email address that reaches you and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account; tell us promptly if you think someone else is in it.

One account is one person. A household is how you share with others, and it shares what the privacy policy says it shares — accounts and transactions, never your mailbox.

You must be 18 or older.

Your email and your content

Everything you send stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to receive, store, read, categorise and display your content back to you, and to send the parts of it that need automated reading to the providers named in the privacy policy.

That permission exists for that purpose alone. We do not use your content to advertise, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models.

Only send us mail you are entitled to send. Forwarding somebody else's financial mail without their knowledge is between you and them, and is not something Rufy can put right.

The permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups already taken, which age out on the schedule in the privacy policy.

Using it reasonably

Do not:

  • Use Rufy for anything unlawful, or to process data you have no right to.
  • Try to break, overload, or find your way around the limits of the service or its security.
  • Resell the service, or run it on behalf of third parties, without our written agreement.
  • Use automated means to extract bulk data from the service beyond your own export.

Plans, payment and cancelling

The Free plan is free and stays free. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance at the prices shown on this site, which are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Taxes may be added where they apply.

You can cancel at any time, in one click. Cancelling stops the next charge and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.

If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand and it will only take effect at your next renewal — never mid-period.

Rufy can be wrong

Automated reading of email is not perfect, and we would rather say so here than imply otherwise. A sender can change their template, a number can be written in an unfamiliar way, a receipt can be blurred.

Rufy is built to ask rather than guess: when it is unsure it raises a question instead of writing a number it invented. But it can still be confidently wrong, and the ledger it keeps is your working record, not a certified financial statement. Check it against your bank before relying on it for anything that matters.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Rufy running and will not pretend to promise uptime we have not measured. Maintenance and outages happen.

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something you depend on, or make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we will tell you before it happens and you may cancel and be refunded for the unused part of the period.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time, and doing so deletes your data as described in the privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that we are legally required to close. Except where the law or an ongoing abuse makes that impossible, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your data first.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we do not give implied warranties — in particular we do not warrant that Rufy will read every message correctly or be available without interruption.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Consumer protection law where you live may give you rights these terms cannot take away, and it wins where it conflicts.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Uruguay, and disputes go to the courts of Montevideo — except where the law where you live entitles you to bring a claim locally, in which case it does.

Changes to these terms

We will tell you at least 30 days before a material change, in the product rather than by silently editing this page. Continuing to use Rufy after that is how you accept it; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of your period.
